Good evening Aussies and other goodwill people, You have maybe noticed that the team L'Alliance Francophone is making an effort on MilkyWay. http://fr.boincstats.com/charts/chart_fr_milkyway_compare_credits_teams_3;8;9;15;29;53.gif This is our Spring Assault, and our goal is simply to take the Aussies current place, the first place. http://www.boinc-af.org/content/view/911/ Seti-USA will try to follow us, and the project is as well the April project of BoincSynergy. http://www.boincsynergy.com/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/ If the kangaroos won't skip faster, we will pass them within 4 days. So it's time to wake up and crunch ! Come on, let's fight for science ! ;-) Friendly yours, Frantz, from L'Alliance Francophone |

We're busy on another project so you probably will overtake us. Besides it's a numbers game and you've got 500 members vs our 76 on this project. No contest Join the #1 Aussie Alliance on MilkyWay! |

We're busy on another project so you probably will overtake us. numbers game ok, but it's rather a matter of CPU's than members. We've a very large majority of "little" crunchers among the 500. And don't be so modest, Aussies are really serious and interresting challengers. ps : I never received a response to sign in the guest part of your forum |

numbers game ok, but it's rather a matter of CPU's than members. It's difficult to get the real figures for number of computers, since many people hide them but my guess is that it is a similar ratio. More of our members have now joined the project, many of them with only one or two computers too. We will not be able to rally enough resources to challenge the numbers your team is putting out but we'll see what we can do, especially after our Aussie Assault on ABC finishes (in about 3 days time) ps : I never received a response to sign in the guest part of your forum I have not seen any posts in the guest forum for a while (last post listed was on 1 March) so don't know what happened. If you tried to apply for forum membership, it was probably denied due to you not being a member of our team (per the registration agreement) Join the #1 Aussie Alliance on MilkyWay! |

I would like to thank all the members of BOINC@AUSTRALIA that attached to Milky Way and successfully solidified second place in the world. We did not have the numbers to compete with L'Alliance Francophone, but were successful in keeping SETI.USA in third place at least for a while anyway. We can work on first place and try the tortoise approach. Thanks again for all members that helped, even though it was during AA12. Keep an eye on the Team forum for the AA13 nominations and voting. Hi all, our RAID is over and I think it gave a significant boost to MilkyWay overall production, and brought it to a new level. Thanks a lot for all those who participated, and especially to the project admin(s) who allowed us to do such a raid on their project by providing a stable environment to receive such new level of production - with less than 2 days offline, which is not bad considering the huge increase of activity. Cheers. Jerome |
