Hi There, I am also getting "computation error" messages for Mod Fit 1.32 within a few seconds of starting the work-unit. I tried deleting my data folder and re-installing BOINC and upgrading to driver 340.52 to no avail. This is on a GTX 560 Ti with Win XP SP3. The other NON Mod Fit units complete fine. |

Hey all, I put out a new version compiled for older libraries on Linux and with a new plan class that should keep it from sending work units to people who don't have compatible OpenCL versions. Probably won't enforce double precision server side though and people requesting work units without double precision support will still error. Not expecting any other issues to arise from this but I will be making a new news post so put them there. Jake W. |

Good Morning, it's Monday! lol Very interesting "computation error," today. RE: ModFit 1.34, I had a elapsed run time of 8:40:00 when I closed the program due to an error in processing. As soon as I closed the program it stopped, but would have continued to run a DEAD file. Second ModFit 1.34 file is still running and it is up to 9 minutes with no error message. I do have a "close Program" box open and we'll see what happens when I close it. You guessed it. "Computation error" showed up at 00:9:52. So it appears the processing is now different, but not fixed. Sorry about the news. --Mike |
