So since coming back doing tasks i've noticed my tasks will slug along much slower, until one of them get to 70% and then out of nowhere it speeds way up including on one or two other tasks i may be running too. I'm seeing it doing Rosetta tasks right now too and we can do two tasks with that, and out of nowhere it just went WOOSH! and that task with the most done is now doing 34% to 36% per hour give or take, while the other still slower but it's now doing 8% per hour vs the 6% per hour they were both doing yesterday. It's always whenever it hits 70% though, i'm not complaining about the speed boost but i wish it ran this fast all the time. Any idea why it would do this and if it's supposed to do that? Maybe BOINC gives the tasks a speed boost when it hits 70%?. Edit: The other one also got a huge boost, how much it's telling me it's doing isn't accurate when the speed is suddenly boosted, so one task only needs to get to 70% and then the other tasks also become just as fast. Is this BOINCS way of making deadlines and making the other tasks catch up?. |
