I was looking how to add certificates from post below, but in fact it was enough to update certificate authority (CA) certificates sudo update-ca-certificates Now I'm able to add project using both new and old links (Pop_OS 22.04) There's a problem with the certificate chain on the new server. |

Did you put http://milkyway-new.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/ into the Project URL for Milkyway in the Add Project Wizard. And give your correct login credentials. |

That url does not work on Linux Mint. It does not even get to the login screen. |

That url does not work on Linux Mint. Have you tried this: sudo service boinc-client stop sudo service boinc-client start Restart your Boinc manager |

Great job guys!.:D If you're updating to Windows 11I doubt it, Boinc server only runs on geeky Linux. Unless you're that Russian project who managed to convert it. The above was double spaced between sentences, I apologise for the forum software ruining my post. |

Yes Win11 is much better than Win10 but just so you know Win11 does do some 'urgent' updates that under Win10 were classified as 'normal', so you might want to be aware of them too and no you can't just not do them unlesss you have the Pro version or are willing to go thru the Management Console or what we used to call Services.Registry: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU Add NoAutoUpdate and set to 1. The above was double spaced between sentences, I apologise for the forum software ruining my post. |

How do we add the project back in?I didn't know there was a URL change, and the old one still works, I just left it as it is. The above was double spaced between sentences, I apologise for the forum software ruining my post. |

Ditto all of above with re-adding project have restarted, done ca-certificate update, tried adding with BAM and both URLs w/o BAM... always getting the try again message on this box. Will leave other boxes sitting as they were for now. Skip |

opeSuse Linux Tumbleweed bpinc 7.24.1 x64 I deleted the milkyway project and changed the url to add -new, i also did an update-ca-certificates but I still can not add the project. in each case i shutdown boinc and restarted it - nothing fixed the issue for me Someone mentioned adding 2 certs but, where do they go and what name do i give them? Is it going to fix this? I've done all that and Linux Mint is still not able to communicate with their new server. I've managed to add the project by copying across the Windows account XML file. So the project is now visible in boincmgr, but communication with their new server is still not happening. This does appear to be an authentication error at their server end. |

Yes I did sudo update-ca-certificates yields no updates The client, in fact, all of Boinc, is installed by the package manager. Latest version. I even reinstalled it. |
