I left my computer running a MilkyWay@Home N-Body Simulation with Orbit task last night, expecting this to be done...

And it is stuck at 100% completion. It is not in the Transfers tab. Any ideas?

Edit: I tried suspending and resuming every task before posting this and that didn't work. I tried suspending and resuming specifically that task and it seems to have restarted the task as a new task.

Do you allow BOINC to use 100% of CPU time? If not, that might cause some stuck Milkyway tasks, so set it to 100%. In case of thermal issues, use less cores instead.

I think that was the issue. I am admittedly not sure how to set it to use less cores, and that other "MilkyWay@Home" task that got triggered actually succeeded, so...I'll try and give it a bit at 100% with all other tasks suspended to finish before aborting the task.

Edit: I think that was reasonably long, so consider it aborted.

Well, if your computer is properly cooled, you don't need to do that, I'm running 100/100 and everything is fine, however I see you use a laptop for crunching, so it's likely close to not cooled at all. It's in the computing preferences if you are using global preferences, otherwise in the "Advanced View", Options -> Computing preferences. Make sure that "when in use" is identical to "when not in use".
