OK today on my windows 11 Laptop I lost internet. So I decided to power it off and recable as I needed too. With the router physically unplugged and ZERO way to connect to the internet. I noticed units were still processing uploading and new ones being downloaded all with new names (No reprocessing of the same unit). It left this disconnected and several units successfully uploaded and downloaded while my Internet router was unplugged in my hand.

Seriously WTF?

Are you creating fake task to make it look busy, every thing else on my laptop was correctly showing the internet was down. I only have this one way to connect to the internet at home.

Also my main list of jobs stopped processing and for a while I get a single multithread until download and be replaced all while the rest time out unprocessed.

Tasks are created on the project servers, not on your laptop. So it must have found another way to connect if your router was unplugged in your hand.

Either that (to his mobile phone or whatever) or mobile connection in case the laptop has that feature.

It should be possible to inject some malware to generate fake tasks on the client side, then later sync that with the server. But think a moment about that effort for nothing. Nobody in their sane mind would do it.

Have not thought about that when the OP was writing about tasks uploading and downloading, but it sounds like the the most plausible explanation.

Can you see all cached tasks on your computer (in advanced view)? If not, click on the "Show all tasks"-button.
