I inadvertently aborted one of my work units and can't find out resume it. The BOINC client doesn't seem to have an option to resume it. Can someone please tell me how I might be able to resume it.

Only by editing client_state.xml. Better simply report it and get a new WU, someone else will crunch it. You would need to start from scratch anyway, since you deleted any progress, so not worth the effort.
