So I was just wondering how long it takes for a project such as this one to be complete or is it umknown? I have looked to see if anything was said about it but couldn't find anything but if I missed it i'm sorry! |

I'm new here, but I'll take a crack at an answer. I would actualy be interested in more detail to that question as well. The short answer is never. It's not that what the project is futile, the fact that most of what it is doing has never been done completely or to as much detail is enough for me to glady donate my computer to crunching. Surveys are never complete. New technologies allow for more detal and less margin for error plus we are in an ever-changing universe and in order to better understand it, we need as many snapshots as we can get. I am sure there have been many benifits to what has already been done. I am new here so I can't site any at the moment. I'm pretty sure the M@H homepage probably has some references to discoveries or papers written where this data played a part. I hope that comes close to an answer. |

I would bet that once the 'first' run is done, more accurate mapping will be able to be made and continue to fine tune the previous results. When Travis returns he can probably give more insight. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |
